Anybody still following along has probably noticed that after walking away, returning and hovering about in a half-heated manner, what little activity there is on this blog concerns the specifics regarding my D&D campaign. I understand that working and posting for the benefit of myself and my players has limited appeal. With that in mind I started a wiki (link also at right top of this blog) for posting or re-working my house rules and after several weeks so involved have discovered what was probably obvious to most others for some time: that it's a much better format for documenting and referencing a D&D campaign. I've provided the link to satisfy any interest that may remain out there in my doings beyond my friends and players. I certainly appreciate examples of how others are running and playing the game, particularly when they've departed from the norms.
I won't say definitively what this means for my middling career as a D&D blogger. It appears to have expired not with a bang but a whimper. Looking back, I believe that some few early posts successfully laid out my philosophy on gaming and make a cogent case for why that philosophy is of value. Here and there since then I've made decent contributions to the community at large and the sample dungeon project was fun and hopefully of use to somebody. Nobody is mad at me for not coming through on a kick-starter. Because of these things and because the page hits still trickle in I have every intention of keeping the blog up while I continue to ignore it myself.
I'm by no means done working on the game and striving to play it better... I just find that I don't have a lot to say about it anymore. Perhaps I'll get the urge someday to post more regularly and perhaps there will be an audience out there to receive it. In the meantime, take it easy everybody.
